Best of: My Nikon D40 Photos

As talked about in length in a past post, I got a Nikon D40 about a month ago. Since then, I’ve been quite the photog, jumping at every chance I get to go out and take photos. For those looking for a D40 that want sample photos, or those just interested in seeing my progress these past four weeks, here is my best of for photos I’ve uploaded to my Flickr photo sharing account since I’ve had the rockin’ camera.

Enjoy!

  1. The water drop picture is one amazing shot, can see the reflection of the tile right in the drop, quite amazing how far digital photography has come.

  4. Great job, Heny. Having just bought a Nikon D50 I know how difficult many of these shots must’ve been to take. Looking forward to some more, I’ll be keeping an eye on your flickr pool.

  7. i really like the smoothness and the quality of colour that you capture in each picture. also the objects are framed very well and the outcome is pure magic. i’ll be anxious to try some stuff like this in the springtime, or even sooner if the weather stays clear.

  8. What lens did you use for these photos?

  9. @Kevin Queen, I used the included 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens for all of these. For a kit lens, it’s served me incredibly well.
